Leaving no one behind requires a collaborative, whole-of-society approach. Visionary plans must translate into tangible outcomes, advancing socio-economic growth and sustainable development. City Hall plays a pivotal role in achieving the SDG for sustainable cities by reinvigorating inner-city spaces, prioritising hygiene, health, and cleanliness, and planning for liveable, inclusive urban environments. Innovative solutions, such as repurposing abandoned buildings, can address housing and infrastructure challenges while fostering sustainable urban renewal. The work is undoubtedly cut out for City Hall—it’s no easy feat to balance priorities and meet the diverse expectations of citizens. However, at the end of the day, the public are your customers, and they will be looking forward to transformative experiences. Equally important is developing talents within the community to take ownership, care for, and cherish their environment. By promoting harmonious living conditions and civic responsibility, City Hall can inspire a sense of belonging and shared purpose for a better future. Wishing City Hall the very best for 2025 as it strives to create a sustainable, resilient, and liveable city for all! Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur
