Parenting tip 💡 Is your child struggling to stay engaged in school? If your child feels like learning is a chore, try igniting their interest using a personal passion. Be it art, photography, comics, STEAM, skating, dance, basketball, or history— every child has something that sparks excitement. When we tap into those interests, we can uncover our children’s inherent curiosity and motivation. Foster a sense of wonder by selecting books from the local library that feature characters students identify with and hobbies they enjoy. Invite children to create something in their own style—whether it's writing the first draft of a paper as an anime script or composing a poem in the style of their favorite famous lyricist. When we feed enthusiasm and engagement in one area of a child’s life, it reminds them that their interests, voices, and stories matter and it empowers them to apply that energy to other areas of their academics. ✨📚 Literacy is so much more than reading and writing. Encouraging children to explore their personal interests fosters their confidence and nurtures their sense of identity, empowering them to thrive and reach their full potential! 💜 #DeweyCommunity #EarlyChildhoodEducation #ParentingTips
