We don't have a talent shortage. We have an HR problem. These are two different roles rolled into one: - Visiting clients for all our new projects with the objective of selling a secondary project - Conducting project inspections to assess progress and identify potential issues or obstacles, promptly reporting them to the appropriate parties Here's some food for thought: - If the initial consultation was done correctly, you wouldn't need to go back for the upsell. - A sales rep is there to add to the profit line - An inspection is there to ensure the project is completed properly Focus on finding an excellent seller/closer at the start. Then hire an inspector to ensure you have quality projects. This sales rep x project manager inspector unicorn does not exist.

Valuable Insights for HSE Professionals ✍ Phases of an Investigation High Level: • Immediate action: Preserve the scene and gather evidence. • Planning the investigation: Develop a systematic plan for conducting the investigation. Determine the duration, required resources, and team members involved. In complex cases, a team of investigators is more effective than an individual. • Data collection: Gather witness statements, response plans, operating procedures, CCTV and audio recordings, permits to work, method statements, risk assessments, and other relevant documents. Analyze the incident scene by conducting measurements and assessments. • Data analysis: Understand the sequence of events, consider human errors such as lapses, mistakes, or procedural violations. Evaluate system and management process failures. Identify immediate, underlying, and root causes. • Corrective actions: The investigation may lead to several corrective actions that need to be identified and implemented in a sequential manner. • Reporting: Close all outstanding issues and communicate the findings to facilitate knowledge sharing. Communication methods include formal incident investigation reports, alerts, presentations, and meetings. Levels of Investigation: Level 4 Investigation (Minor) Level 3 Investigation (Local) Level 2 Investigation (Formal) Level 1 Investigation (External Inquiry)
