🎉 Celebrating Impact and Community! 🥃 On November 18th, we brought together 35 local Black philanthropists for an unforgettable evening of purpose and indulgence at The Algiers Club. Guests enjoyed a premium whiskey-tasting experience, expertly guided by Tone Castillo, who shared fascinating insights into the craft of whiskey-making and the exceptional Suntory Global Spirits portfolio. Together, we raised $2,100 to support the educational and leadership development programs of the National Black MBA Association - DFW Chapter. These funds will empower our next generation of leaders through scholarships, mentorship, and career-building opportunities. A heartfelt thank-you to our sponsor, Suntory Global Spirits, and to all our generous guests for making this event a success. This was more than a tasting—it was a testament to the power of community and collective impact. 📸 Relive the magic! 21/64 Certified Advisors of Color (CAOC) Program is a leadership development opportunity that advances philanthropic advisors and professionals who identify as Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) as they build trusting and transformative relationships with donors and, together, move resources in just and equitable ways. With the continued intention of taking responsibility for diversifying the field of philanthropic advising, we envision that this transformational approach will inspire shifts in relationships between donors and professionals, ultimately directing more funds towards organizations and communities dedicated to advancing a more just and equitable world. Given the success of the program's first three years and a continued demand from our colleagues in the field, 21/64 are welcoming applications to launch two new cohorts this coming year: -1- The Approach Cohort dedicated to BIPOC-identifying professionals new to 21/64's Certification and Multigenerational Approach. -2- The Advanced Cohort dedicated to BIPOC-identifying professionals within the 21/64 Certified Advisors network. We invite you to explore both cohort experiences below, and we encourage you to consider applying or recommending a colleague or peer to join us. Click here to learn more about the two programs and their application process: https://lnkd.in/ecGcVqQC

A colleague recently asked me if getting a Master’s degree or MBA is needed for career advancement. I've been working on my second Master's since 2019 at McColl School of Business at Queens University of Charlotte. This journey has not only sharpened my knowledge and skillset but opened doors to conversations and perspectives that I never would have encountered in my day-to-day role. The value of continuous education is not about the credential. It's about the growth, the connections, and the insights that challenge you to see things differently. It’s about making yourself more agile, adaptable, and prepared for the unknowns in an ever-changing world. Whether or not an advanced degree is needed depends on the individual and their goals, but for me, it’s been a transformative experience—one that has expanded my career possibilities far beyond what I had initially imagined. I encourage anyone to embrace lifelong learning. You never know what opportunities might unfold. #ContinuousLearning #MBA #CareerGrowth #McCollSchoolOfBusiness #LifelongLearning

Hi, all. I'm thrilled to share that the Onuka Ibe and Michelle Tafel Black Leadership Fund, launched on Juneteenth 2021, has reached its minimum endowment amount! This means Deltasigs can start applying next spring to receive funding from the first Delta Sigma Pi scholarship for Black undergraduates! First, THANK YOU to all who have supported the fund. This milestone wouldn't have been possible without the incredible generosity of our amazing Fraternity community. Your support has laid a strong foundation for future generations. Deltasig Alumni: You know me – getting the fund endowed is just the beginning. To help the scholarship grow and cover more and more educational expenses, we need your continued support. Every contribution, big or small, helps offset the rising costs of higher education. Michelle Tafel and I have donated again today toward this goal. If you're able, please donate here: https://lnkd.in/eJMTgpYD. Collegiate Deltasigs: Mark your calendars to look into this opportunity and consider applying. This scholarship is here to support your academic and professional growth. More details will be available when applications open in early 2025. Deltasigs, help us spread the word with your network. Together, we can empower the next generation of leaders. Thank you for your ongoing support!
Thank You for Supporting Delta Sigma Pi!
