Is Tech Support Falling Through the Cracks for Law Firms? As a recruiter formerly involved in the legal industry who has now transitioned into the Technology space, I have immense respect for the incredible work talent acquisition teams do in securing top-tier legal talent. The legal profession thrives on the expertise of its lawyers, and the importance of bringing in the best cannot be overstated. However, through recent conversations, I’ve noticed that tech support roles (which are critical to the smooth operation of any law firm) might not always get the same level of attention during the hiring process. I was informed in one recent conversation, a firm conducted over 40 interviews for a single tech support role, with candidates dropping out at various stages. It was clear that candidate control was lacking, leading to a drawn-out and inefficient process. While the focus on legal talent is essential, overlooking the tech support side can result in time-consuming hiring processes and lost opportunities. To all the dedicated hiring teams out there, I applaud your ability to attract and secure phenomenal legal professionals.
