Hello everyone, Week 7 ended with some more good info on interview prep. I learned tips on how to have a strong resume and elevator pitch. I also learned the importance of being able to effectively respond to the question we all get asked during an interview (So, tell me a lil' bit about yourself?). I have included a link to Google's (Free) Ai interview prep tips. Check it out! https://lnkd.in/et4fNNrm Till next week, Norman H.

Holy macaroni! I found a neat tool 🤖 Google has an interview warmup tool that does mock interviews with you via voice. You can even select some specific roles and it will ask common questions for that position. It then transcribes your answers and uses machine learning to analyze your responses and provides feedback 😎 Sharing to help anyone out there on the job hunt. Super helpful for interview prep! I attended another session on AI today that was focused on L&D. One part showed how AI can be used as a roleplaying tool to help us practice for job interviews. After a quick search I found many companies are currently offering this service. Has anyone tried it out? Will most applicants soon have all of the same answers? Here is one interview practice page from Google: https://lnkd.in/g3VQktbE

I just discovered Google Interview Warmup 👀 This tool gives you the option to choose from 7 different fields to practice for, providing 5 questions in each category. You can speak your answers or you can type them out. 💁🏼♀️ Giving you a gentle nudge to talk instead of type as this will be the format in most interview screens. Hearing yourself out loud makes a big difference. At the end, Google Warmup provides you insights and makes suggestions on how to strengthen your answers 💪🏼 Has anyone else tried this? Curious to hear your thoughts. https://lnkd.in/eCefbJbs

I like using STAR interview! It's a structured way of answering behavioral interview questions. It helps you provide clear, concise, and relevant answers that demonstrate your skills and experience. It ensures your answers are relevant to the skills and experiences that are being is seeking by interviewers! But what if i have no experience for STAR questions? Tap into relevant experiences! For ex. personal projects or hobbies- did you make a website, learn a new skill, or overcome a personal challenge? These can be valuable way to explain how you approach challenges and apply your skills 😀 Don't invent experiences, just refresh your memory and tell a STAR story of your great experience!

Did you know that most hiring managers make their decisions in the first 5 to 15 minutes of the interview? 😧 Here's how to prepare the perfect introduction: 1️⃣ Draft an elevator pitch about yourself that answers the most common starting interview question: "tell me about yourself." 2️⃣ Practice reciting that pitch verbally in about 30 seconds or less. 3️⃣ Have a mock conversation with a family member or a friendly AI chatbot! Going into an interview confident in what to say and how to say it will leave a strong first impression, and set you apart from other candidates! #interviewtip #careeradvancement #careeradvice
