#DYK: In Indonesia, 50% of entrepreneurs are women. Yet, only 10-20% of women entrepreneurs have access to the finance they need to scale and grow their businesses. According to the World Bank, Indonesia's economy could unlock over US$428 million annually if women-owned businesses achieved revenue parity with those owned by men. Since 2016, Investing in Women has worked with gender lens investors in Indonesia to expand access to finance and other support that women-owned businesses need to thrive. Women entrepreneurship is a topic of more significant concern, and a detailed review of literature related to the success model of women entrepreneurs, particularly in developing Asian countries is lacking. In this regard, eight women's entrepreneurial success models (Malaysia, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Srilanka and Bangladesh) between 2012 and 2019 (inclusive) are analysed. The purpose and contribution of this paper are to highlight the clear picture of women entrepreneurial success models comprised of controllable and uncontrollable issues and challenges that can be classified under factors such as socio-cultural, environmental and individual.
