Earlier this month DHOLLANDIA France was at the Technotrans 2024 show in Nantes FR.
Here are some nice pictures of the event, also a special thanks to the body builders and distributors that were involved in showcasing our lifts throughout the show!
I hope Adam Mills FIHE doesn’t mind me nicking his picture for this post but the challenges facing Traffic Management as people on the ground see it are not on this list. You know them people lm talking about, don’t you? The people that actually put the jobs on, experience the difficult situations, the people given plans by incompetent planners, the people there by themselves in dangerous situations as the budget doesn’t allow for a trainee, you know them people. Them people who haven’t been given adequate training, don’t have any competency checks, training in historical scenarios, drugs and drink testing and finally them people who don’t even know what the mission or objectives of Traffic Management are.
THEM PEOPLE!
I just had a read of the titles for these two days in the Safety & Sustainability Theatre. Jesus Christ l had to down a bottle of Gaviscon with 6 Rennie.
A particularly interesting title was “increasing Road Safety through effective Traffic Control design” . Simple explanation to that is, we have 4 designs of Traffic Control that when implemented CORRECTLY by PROFFESSIONLLY TRAINED STAFF they work just fine. Get out of your van, smile now and again, patrol the site, help an elderly lady and interact with the public.

Great to catch up with some familiar faces today and to meet some new ones, at the Traffex exhibition, held at Coventry Building Society Arena. Venue looked great and the show was very well organised. Ample free parking on site was a bonus too!
I hope you’re all enjoying the conference! If you’re not familiar with @Eduready360, please take a few minutes to stop by and learn more.

I’ll share more pics of our fabulous Expo day another time.
Many of you know the majority of our company posts/my posts are written well in advance of them being published. I usually spend a block of time once a week or so scheduling them. They are also posted at planned times.
🥱Not this post. It’s past 9pm on a Wednesday night. And I’m posting it right away. I’m physically tired after a day at the annual BOMA/IFMA/IREM Expo. My brain on the other hand, is still up and awake, 😵💫going over the day and all the people we talked to. It was our 16th consecutive year exhibiting. Matt is the creative one-our booth decoration is always 100% his. Some years he does an elaborate booth and some years we’re a bit pared down. He kept it simple this year and that is fine with me!
We have a lot of great changes happening in our company right now. We’re also celebrating 50 years in business. It was so fun to share some of this with everyone today.
I’ve shared before that the last 4 years have been filled with challenges for our company and for the people working in it, including me. It’s days like today which remind me of all the great relationships we’ve been building over the years.
People ask, “did you have a good show?” A good show to us is not necessarily one which generates new business. For us, this show is about customer relations, getting reacquainted, and retaining business we have. Of course, we always add new business after this show.
16 consecutive Industry Expos. We wouldn’t have a company without our customers.
I hope all could see today how much we appreciate them. This is the good kind of tired. Over the past few years there has been too much of the bad kind of tired. I’m excited to be the good kind of tired a little
more often!
