🚀 A proud milestone achieved at Avishkar 2024! 🏆 We had the honor of presenting our project: "To study the impact of TiO2 on mechanical properties, microstructure, and self-cleaning of concrete." This research focuses on harnessing the power of Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) to innovate in the field of civil engineering and construction materials. Here's what we uncovered: Enhanced Mechanical Properties: Adding TiO2 improved the strength and flexibility of concrete, making it more resistant to wear and tear. Refined Microstructure: The concrete exhibited a more uniform internal structure, leading to better durability and performance over time. Self-Cleaning Capabilities: Leveraging TiO2's photocatalytic properties, our study demonstrated how concrete could maintain its surface cleanliness by breaking down pollutants, contributing to sustainable infrastructure. 💡 This project is a step toward making construction materials more efficient and environmentally friendly. Participating in Avishkar 2024 allowed us to share these insights with experts, learn from peers, and explore future applications. A day at site! Today, I had an incredible hands-on workshop on soil investigation that truly brought classroom concepts to life. Our session took place at the site of our pharmacy college building within the Builders Engineering College campus. It was fascinating to see how professionals collect soil samples and determine the ideal depth for testing—crucial steps in ensuring a strong foundation.The concepts were explained by our distinguished professor Dr.G.Ramasamy,former professor Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee .I’m grateful for the opportunity to witness real-world construction processes today.
