[A 2023 Article. Coca-Cola discontinued more than 200 drinks (roughly 1/2 of 450 products) during COVID as part of a RESTRUCTURING AFTER SALES FELL BY 10%. This was significant enough for EXECUTIVES TO TAKE IMMEDIATE (DRASTIC) ACTION TO PROTECT THE PROFITABLE CORE. They also reduced the number of divisions from 17 to 9. It's the reincarnation of old extra pilsner, which in the 1960's was the 3th most sold pilsner in Belgium. But what is interesting, is that AB InBev is not spending any money on marketing and publicity. They only made a press release and is selling the beer in selected supermarkets. It will not be available in pubs. Do you think this can work, launching a product without extra marketing/publicity? For the record: the brand 'Piedboeuf' is still in use for 'table beer', it will sound familiar to many people. #marketing #publicity
