Nurse Case Managers coordinate the right care at the right time for the right outcome! I engourage employers and TPA's to assign a Nurse Case Manager at the time of the injury. When a Nurse Case Manager begins actvity on Day One, it allows the NCM to guide the injured worker through the system. The NCM sets expectations with the injured worker and provides critical education, advocacy and support. This activity eencourages the injured worker to participate in their treatment with a focus on return to work. NCM coordinates the best care with utilization in mind for the carrier and assists the employer in returning the injured worker to work when it is safe and reasonable.
