D3HUB - EU Competence Centre to support data management in tourism destinations will build the future Competence Centre with the support of all tourism actors from all Member States. We're now in the process to build a sound Support Scheme addressed to #smartdestinations and their ecosystems to generate capacity building, training, expertise and digital solutions to improve the use and management of data to take better decisions and increase the competeitiveness of territories and business. What unfolded over the next few days was nothing short of transformative! 🔹 Knowledge Sharing: As the Chair of the seminar "Responsible Tourism in Rural Destinations: What We Can Learn from India," I had the unique opportunity to exchange breakthrough ideas with leading practitioners from ICRT India - 'Manisha Pande, Manoj K Singh & RUPESHKUMAR K Their innovative approaches captivated a diverse audience from 10 Southeast Asian nations, fostering a vibrant exchange of knowledge and experience. 🔹 Skill Enhancement: Presenting my research to an engaged audience brought valuable feedback and a chance to refine my perspective. The conference was a treasure trove of scholarly presentations and riveting stories from seasoned practitioners. 🔹 Wisdom Gaining: It was profoundly inspiring to be among the luminaries of tourism academia (Harold Goodwin; Hiram Ting 陳芳堯; Fergus Maclaren; Marianna Sigala; Jon Bruno; Joseph M. Cheer; Aaron Tham; Kevin Phun; Ramayah T. and dearest Lenny Y). Their approachability and simplicity in sharing deep insights reminded me why we gather: to learn, to grow, and to connect. Their positivity proved that true knowledge is always coupled with graciousness. 🌟 "Good things are meant to be shared."
