In the third step of my data protocol, students are asked "Now What?". The answer may include a decision, action, more questions, or collecting their own related data. They can represent their data with hands-on materials such as a magnetic whiteboard grid and magnetic manipulatives. Then they can do a new, highly relevant Data Discussion. Not to mention, compare and contrast the effectiveness of the visualizations! Graph credit to the amazing Jenna Laib [more slow reveal graphs at slowrevealgraphs.com]. These really enhance reasoning and discourse during the notice/wonder part!
