Q - Why should we avoid jeera (cumin seeds) rice in the dinner or after 6 pm? A- The natural tendency of Jeera or cumin seeds) is cooling the digestive system or lowering the temperature of heat energy which results in the urge of urinating in many cases. It develops more in jeera rice where only salt is added and nothing else. The quantity of jeera is at least one teaspoon so the final dish increases the level of water. If at all it has to be consumed in the evening, better to take within 6pm.
