Today is Global #fattyliverday! Global Fatty Liver Day (formerly International NASH Day) is the premier, international education campaign that is convened by Global Liver Institute annually, on the 2nd Thursday of June, to raise visibility and urgency around the impact of fatty liver disease, and its more advanced form, on our communities. Fatty liver disease, often asymptomatic in its early stages, can progress to more sever condition such as liver cancer if left unchecked. At FUJIFILM Wako, we are dedicated to advancing liver cancer diagnostics. We offer opportunities for the early detection of liver fibrosis and Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) using in vitro diagnostics. We are joining @globalliver to raise awareness about #fattyliverdisease in Germany, and strive to make a significant impact on liver health worldwide. #ActNowScreenToday #Fujifilm #Wako #Diagnostics #LiverDisease

EC Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine journal's article from Volume 13 issue 12 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞: Tuberculosis and Breast Cancer in Tandem 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬: Srinivas Reddy Kallem, Alwa Karuna Reddy*, Tushar M Parmeshwar , A Nyna Sindhu, Reshmi Sultana and Harikrishna B 𝐀𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭: The coexistence of pulmonary tuberculosis and the breast carcinoma is uncommon. Tuberculosis (TB) remains a significant contributor to global morbidity and mortality. Concurrently, cancer, including breast cancer, constitutes a leading cause of death worldwide. The simultaneous occurrence of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) and breast cancer presents a rare but challenging clinical scenario. 🆘 Alarming Trend: Liver Cancer on the rise among young Vietnamese adults ⚠ Vietnam has the highest rate of #liver #cancer among all cancer types and is one of the countries with the highest incidence of liver cancer globally. Liver cancer was most commonly diagnosed in individuals aged 50-60, particularly among men. However, according to the Director of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Center at BACH MAI HOSPITAL, 2023 has seen numerous cases of liver cancer in individuals under 35 and even under 30 years old. Unhealthy lifestyles, excessive alcohol consumption, and the overuse of contraceptive pills are the common causes that lead to liver cancer. It is especially hazardous for those with #hepatitis B or C. 🌟 VinBrain is tirelessly working alongside to aid doctors and the people of Vietnam in the fight against liver cancer with our #AI solution - #DrAid™ CT Liver Cancer. The capability to detect early liver abnormalities from #stage0 of DrAid™ is considered the key to transforming the landscape of liver cancer in Vietnam and worldwide.

#MilestonesMonday: Nearly one in three people worldwide are thought to have an excess accumulation of fat in their liver. The condition, known as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, usually exhibits no symptoms of its own but it puts people at risk for diabetes and other metabolic disorders. When it becomes severe, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease can damage the liver and may lead to liver cancer. National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH): Intramural Research Program (IRP) Dr. Dan McVicar, chief of our Cancer Innovation Laboratory, and his colleagues have now identified a molecule released by macrophages that helps the liver cope with excess fat. This could be harnessed to help control fatty liver disease. #LiverCancer #CancerResearch #NewResearch #Innovation
