As AI continues to grow with this meteoric speed, the need to leverage the blockchain is more important than ever. Take the video below for instance: This is a fake product, presented by a fake influencer... None of this real, it's all generated by AI. What happens when the internet is flooded by all sorts of ultra-realistic influencers selling products that never existed? These are the questions we need to address before reality becomes effectively indistinguishable from fiction.

Great article by Sandy Carter in Forbes about how authenticating ownership of content in a world of AI generated material is so important. “We can’t put the genie back in the bottle”, notes Carter about AI, but the type forward thinking she advocates, with the use of blockchain is critical. Blockchain has always held promise for authenticating ownership, and being impossible to change historical data held within it. Hopefully leaders can see past it’s recent association with crypto, NFTs and the metaverse, which fell out of favor quickly. After initially learning about blockchain, I figured we’d eventually have an internet, banking and records system built on it. The merits are too compelling to ignore. But I didn’t see the rapid acceleration of AI precipitating it so quickly. If we can’t trust, what do we have left - for humanity or democracy? Thanks for the thought provoking angle Sandy Carter and the work you do with tech leaders, to force this type of progressive conversation. Great quotes by Mark Schaefer and Ed Keller too!
