A friend in the UAE recently shared how he lost thousands of dirhams pursuing his dream of moving abroad, falling victim to a fraudulent immigration agency. Dubai is home to many such agencies that exploit migrants' aspirations, offering fake job offers and visas before disappearing with their money—The Atlantic Migration Consultancy being one such example. If you’re planning to relocate, especially to Europe, Canada, or Australia, research your eligibility thoroughly using online tools and investigate agencies carefully. Be cautious of red flags and avoid suspicious offers. It’s concerning that such scams are rampant in the UAE, with limited or actually no action from the authorities to address the issue.
