Վարդանյան-Մկրտչյան ընտանիքների հովանավորությամբ վերջերս օծվեցին Սուրբ Խաչ եկեղեցական համալիրի Մայր Եկեղեցու գմբեթները զարդարող 72 խաչերը: Օծման արարողությունը կատարվեց Արագածոտնի թեմի առաջնորդ Մկրտիչ եպիսկոպոս Պռոշյանի և Մայր Աթոռի Վարչատնտեսական բաժնի տնօրեն Մուշեղ եպիսկոպոս Բաբայանի ձեռամբ։ Սուրբ Խաչ եկեղեցական համալիրը հայկական եկեղեցաշինության յուրահատուկ օրինակ է, քանի որ գմբեթները զարդարված են 72 խաչերով, որոնց թիվը խորհրդանշում է Հիսուս Քրիստոսի 72 աշակերտներին։ ______________________ Through the initiative of the Vardanyan-Mkrtchyan families, the 72 crosses decorating the domes of the Holy Cross Church complex were recently consecrated. The consecration ceremony was led by Bishop Mkrtich Proshyan, leader of Aragatsotn Diocese, and Bishop Moushegh Babayan, director of the Administrative and Economic Department of the Mother See. The Holy Cross church complex is unique in Armenian church architecture, as its domes are decorated with 72 crosses, symbolizing the 72 disciples of Jesus Christ.

April Fool's Day. That was only part of the story. There is a negative side of foolishness and there are many references to moral foolery in the book of Proverbs. There is also the paradoxical embrace of the accusation of being a fool that we own for ourselves in Paul's writings. We are fools for Christ's sake as the approximation of human foolishness is met by the wisdom of the cross. "What kind of fool am I?" On the human and negative side, I feel most foolish when I make pronouncements, applications, and pontificating statements on faulty premises that time, memory, and mush have mixed into one cognitive soup that has hardened into a slab of concrete assumption over the years. It is the dark side of getting older and wiser. Alas, I have become my own illustration and I find it humbling. I became pastor of my current church on April 1, 1996. Indeed it was April Fool's Day. I keep insisting, even after realizing I was wrong, that it was also Easter Sunday. I just realized again, that I was off a week. Memory , unreliable as it is, embarrasses and humble us. I am humbled. I didn't seek humility. I stumbled onto it. I suppose that is a good thing. Proverbs 11:2 "When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom."
