For ages mankind has debated the meaning of life. In terms of the world, countless philosophers and philosophies have arisen over the centuries, each with their reasoning and compelling points. But what does the source of all wisdom, the word of God, have to say about the meaning of life? In this article I share with you what the biblical approach is to this fundamental question, and why it is the bible that is the only one that gets it right. https://lnkd.in/gRpUzwut #jesus #faith #bible #christian #christianity #god #theology #endtimes #truth #biblestudy #grace #gospel #thegospel #thebible #saved #scripture

Revival must be anchored in solid philosophical and theological frameworks to ensure it remains transformative and enduring. A biblical worldview forms the core of this framework, providing wisdom and understanding that make the revival relevant to both individual lives and broader communities. As Proverbs 4:7 teaches, “The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding,”. Theological frameworks are essential for guiding revival in a biblically faithful direction. These frameworks should include four key elements: Divine Revelation, personal reflection, communal wisdom, and historical continuity. Divine Revelation, as seen in Hebrews 1:1-2, emphasizes that God speaks to His people through Scripture, revealing His will and purpose. Personal reflection, encouraged in 2 Corinthians 13:5, calls individuals to examine their own hearts and align their lives with God’s truth. Communal wisdom, as illustrated in Proverbs 27:17, fosters mutual growth within the body of believers, ensuring that revival is not just an individual experience but a collective movement. Historical continuity, as stated in Hebrews 12:1, connects revival to the rich legacy of the Church, reminding us that God’s work continues through all generations.

I don’t think that I will cut out the Received Pronunciation, altogether, however this is another video that I did without it. I am reading ‘The King James Only Controversy: can you trust the modern translations?’ (2nd ed. 2009) by James R. White. It is an excellent critique of King-James-Only-ism. I make a point that James White is an evidentialist when it comes to the textual/translation issue, but a presuppositionalist when it comes to the truth—or otherwise—of Evangelical Protestant Christianity. When it comes to the truth, or otherwise, of Christianity, James White’s starting presupposition is that Christianity is true. Similarly with Young-Earth Creationism: James White simply starts off with the presupposition that Yahweh created the heavens and the earth 6,000 years ago and, like Ken Ham, filters the data through this presupposition. Ken Ham calls this presupposition: ‘God Glasses’. To me, the assertion that Christianity is supernaturally true, and the assertion that the earth was created 6,000 years ago, are every bit as unevidenced as the assertion that a seventeenth-century (1611) Anglican translation is the one true translation of the Bible. If James White became an Evidentialist as regards the truth of Christianity, or the truth of Young Earth Creationism, then he would soon deconvert, methinks. ____ #bible #christianity #protestantism #bible #translation

Sunday we completed our second of six classes that discussed NT reliability. I understand that not everyone here may be interested from a Christian perspective, but the Bible has been the most influential book in the West and I wanted to share a few slides from our Zoom meeting where we covered two important topics: NT dating and authorship. 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: While the NT is considered to have been completed within the lifetime of the eyewitnesses, what is not shown here is our discussion on the biographies of other major figures from antiquity. For example, the biographies we have of Alexander the Great are...centuries later. The time gap between Buddha's life to his recorded teachings was also discussed. 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩: Also not shown here is Paul's writings. Skeptics will readily acknowledge Paul's authorship is "undisputed" for seven letters. Not to mention that Paul's writings pre-date the Gospels and he is writing as one who was a former persecutor of the church! Not an insignificant fact by any means! Our goal is to help equip local churches and organizations to better equip disciples and minister to those who are doubting. These classes are just one way are helping to do that. CORE Apologetics is currently working on our 2025 class schedule and we are hoping to double the number of classes next year. If you or someone you know is having questions, doubts, or whatever about Jesus or Christianity, please feel free to send me a message. www.coreapologetics.com Liberty University Colorado Christian University Corporate Chaplains Of America #Jesus #Bible #history

#6 in the True or False blog is live. There are dozens of false teachings out there. But the idea that original sin—that we are inherently sinful—is a false doctrine itself is perhaps the most destructive. In every case I came across that says "Original Sin" is a false doctrine, there is no biblical evidence to back it up. Some authors use Ezekiel 18:19-20 as their proof, which says that the son does not inherit the sin of the father and the father does not inherit the sin of the son. That is not referring to our sinful nature. All the biblical evidence shows we have an inherent, sinful nature. Scripture speaks of humans as unrighteous from infancy. #leadership #sustainability #nobelprize True knowledge is the realization that we are ignorant. This is the distinction between Socratic philosophical rationalism which understands by reason that the realization of our ignorance is the highest knowledge to live our lives in goodness and innocence and modernity which has faith in its capacity to know it all in evil. Modernity is the overturning of classical philosophy, everything in the Bible which comes after Genesis 1,2 until the Sermon on the Mount in the New Testament in which Jesus attempts to restore Genesis 1, 2. The knowledge humanity is stubbornly refusing to acquire since the advent of modernity in the 15th century in evil is that we are ignorant, innocent, and good.

Sam Soleyn, an Apostle of Christ, distinguishes between Knowledge, Understanding and Wisdom by using three questions, as follows: • Knowledge: What? (The ‘what’) • Understanding: Why? (The ‘why’) • Wisdom: How? (The ‘how’) Knowledge seeks the facts. Understanding probes why those facts exist the way they do and for what purposes/end. Possessing knowledge and understanding, wisdom then seeks to apply oneself to a given context appropriately and effectively. Wisdom demands that we walk carefully and measuredly and according to Biblical principles - not carelessly or haphazardly based on sentiment and feeling. Living wisely is to live skilfully as you navigate life guided by Biblical principles. #wisdom #knowledge #understanding

⚜️ Misleading Statements Within “Preserving unity and loving others is more important than our theology." This was said by a leader during a men’s prayer meeting. The irony is that by making this statement, he was doing theology—just the worst kind! True unity and love must be rooted in sound doctrine. Without it, unity becomes compromise, and love becomes mere sentimentality (Ephesians 4:3-6, 2 John 1:6). Theology matters, and bad theology can lead us away from the truth. This statement, while seeking agreement and approval from a world condemned in sin (John 3:18-19), fail to recognize that God is not only loving but also righteous. His justice will be executed in a time soon to come (Romans 2:5-6, Revelation 20:12). We cannot serve two masters; we must stand firm on the truth of God's Word (Matthew 6:24). As Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away” (Matthew 24:35). Yet, in the midst of these challenges, we have a living hope through Jesus Christ. As we stand firm on the truth of Scripture, we also remember that God's love is relentless, and His mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). His desire is that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Let us align our beliefs with Scripture, boldly proclaim His Gospel in truth and love, and rest in the hope that our labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). #SoundDoctrine #BiblicalTruth #Gospel #UnityInTruth #PreachTheWord #Scripture #Christianity #BibleBased #FaithComesByHearing #TruthInLove #TheologyMatters #BiblicalUnity #ChristianLiving #JesusSaves #PeopleOfTheBook #LoveAndTruth #GreatCommission #PreachTheGospel #GodsJustice #TwoMasters #StandFirmInFaith #HopeInChrist I
