Hey Network, Thank you for all the support and those who we have recently brought on to the team. We are not rushing to bring on anyone else on for the time being, but we will still be slowly looking for a few more roles. If you are a sound designer with some technical skills who is willing to work voluntarily, please feel free to reach out if you want to take a jab at some orchestral horror. Thanks! #indierevolution #indiegamedevelpoment #sounddesign

🎥 Latest Creation: Cinematic Fight Scene 🎥 I am excited to share my latest project, where I collaborated with my #SDSU classmates Emily Tran and Jalen Banks. Together, we worked across editing, sound design, and color grading to bring this action-packed scene to life. I was responsible for sound design, using effects and music – crucial to enhancing the tension, rhythm, and overall sensory experience of a fight scene. One of the biggest challenges I faced was working with slow-motion sequences. These moments require a careful balance to match the pace of the visuals, ensuring the sound is as impactful and engaging as the action on screen. It was essential to maintain the continuity in order to keep a coherent flow, while building tension and drama throughout the sequence. Check out the final result below 👇 #SoundDesign #CinematicFight #FilmEditing #SoundEffects #ActionScene #Teamwork #FilmProduction #PostProduction #Continuity

SOUND TRIBE: Here's my favorite trick when crafting interesting sound design... I call it "Passing the Baton"... I want every sound to have its clear and distinct moment, and then quickly "Pass the Baton" to another sound which then gets its brief moment of fame. This approach allows the sonic story to constantly evolve and change over time, as well as attracting the listener's ear the most important sonic elements at every given moment. The result? Your sound design will be much cleaner and much more interesting. Check out my sound design reel if you'd like an example of how I use this approach: https://lnkd.in/gW7_WrEU

"Hello Out There, Hello!" - is a call to anybody curious as to what is involved in editing sound design in any production. For extra fun, this sound design & effects demonstration video post I've recently completed - features Chuck Jones-directed space-themed Looney Tunes cartoon segments in a visual mashup - with a soundtrack including those famous and familiar Treg Brown W-B cartoon sound effects used in the classic Warner Brothers cartoons. By listening to the lyrics of the song written and sung by Johnny Mercer (and the orchestra conducted by Billy May), I couldn't help but remember certain scenes from the classic Warner Bros. Cartoons from Chuck Jones that featured all sorts of space-themed/rocket-themed cartoons. After viewing them, it was like a jigsaw puzzle, piecing together all the appropriate video clips to certain lyrics - and after some editing, a kind of storyline develops. The trick is to find all the footage WITHOUT any characters or talking or backgrounds without any animations -etc... so you can make freeze-frames, duplicate frames when you run out of footage, and add tons of camera moves to make otherwise still artwork into moving and swaying modern creations and appearances with the perfection of the classic artwork. After patching together all the clips into a general apparent descriptive story-line to the lyrics, the entire production was color-corrected and visually enhanced to 'pop' - as well as to make the differences in the quality of each cartoon segment less noticeable - plus I threw in a few comedic "Easter Eggs" (i.e. hint: Uranus sign). Also, the mono 1952 recording of the song was split into 5 music stems to create the stereophonic effects heard in this production. All credits and production are produced with Avid Media Composer, GenArts Sapphire FX and BorisFx. In the video, you'll initially see the complete production with credits. After which, you'll get a version 'inside the cockpit' to see the 'timeline' and the audio VU meters of just the isolated sound effects along with a music stem of the bass. Enjoy this Sound Design Demonstration in 4K 24-bit Dyna-Stereo! 😀 #sounddesign #editing #musicproduction #cartoons #audioengineering #soundeffects #originalproduction #educational #AvidMediaComposer
