💡 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐌𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐈 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞? 𝐀 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐂𝐄𝐂 💡 A few people told me $167 for an event ticket seems expensive and wondered how much money I make. This video breaks down the cost of running the event. Spoiler alert: it's around $175 per person and counting, as expenses keep going up. Most event organizers have upsells, but I don’t have anything to sell at the event. This is a pure passion project to bring people together and celebrate a great milestone. 💜 So, there you go! Time will tell if it's a smart or silly move...... 😁 P.S. I filmed the video yesterday, but since then, we upgraded the food menu, so the food cost is now $27,600 instead of $20,180. 🚀 Operation Plate Licker Update! 🍽️ As of now, I still haven't heard from the firm sponsoring our dinner next week. However, thanks to my diligent partner Angela York, she did some digging and discovered a website related to the event. But here’s the catch: when I checked the site's events page, I noticed two dates listed—July and August. Our event? Nowhere in sight! 🗓️ Additionally, while I appreciated the food choices displayed, they might not even be what’s offered at our dinner. Here’s my tip for anyone organizing an event: ALWAYS keep your website updated! Even if you're not taking registrations online, having the right information ensures attendees know they’re in the right place. I’m assuming this is linked to the advisor hosting our event, but it certainly doesn’t clarify that. Let’s see how this unfolds! This year we’ve been able to ensure 80%+ turnout on average for our events. This is much higher than your typical sales or marketing event. How do we do it? Invitees are always thinking about a few things: 1. What am I getting out of attending? 2. Is this worth my time? 3. What are they going to sell me? 4. Do I need what they're selling me? Oftentimes attendance rate goes down because invitees are bombarded with the same types of events from multiple vendors. There's nothing novel in another sporting event or restaurant outing. Aside from engaging attendees in a unique experience, they need to know what exactly they’re signing up for. That’s where RSVP pages come in. We’ve been able to drive attendance by simply just telling people what’s in store for the evening. Once they see it’s a unique event, the agenda for the night and the custom garment they'll be receiving, it boosts attendance. Instead of sending a calendar invite and a generic email we’ve found RSVP pages really effective. You can check out our sample RSVP page below!

The next time, when people hear there was a sold-out event with a waitlist, they'll be more motivated to grab a spot. This strategy works exceptionally well for mid to high-ticket events, where attendees need more time to commit. Friday night client calls...ouch! It was 7:30 p.m. on Friday night. Imogen Rayner and I were on a call with a new client based in America. Yes, it was planned, it was just the time difference, so we had to be flexible even if it was wine ‘o’ clock time 🍷 😴 Was I tired… Yes 🤫 Did I have my PJs on below … Yes (out of sight of course) 🍷Did I want a glass of wine…Yes ✅ But most of all we wanted to help our new client achieve their online event goals and get more clients! 👩💻 We are taking them through our ‘How to Grow Your Business Through Online Events’ programme.
