It's a fact that wherever there is business, there will be competition. And business owners usually see competition in two ways:
❌ Copying whatever their competitors do.
✅ Seeing it as an opportunity.
To truly grow your business, copying your competitors will never help you. Instead, it will only create more problems.
For example, many businesses lower their prices seeing their competitors. This only reduces their profit margins and the perceived value of their products. If they don’t realize this soon enough, this cycle will ultimately lead them to losses.
→ So, how can you as a business owner see competition as an opportunity?
It's simple. Just do what your competitors are not doing.
Here are two ways to do this:
1️⃣ Instead of blindly copying what they do, look for areas where you can improve. For instance, if you and your competitor are selling the same product at the same price, try adding a free, low-cost product with the main one to boost sales.
2️⃣ Position your brand differently from your competitors. Offer something that makes you stand out in the market with your unique value propositions. For example, if you and your competitor are selling the same products, you can stand out by offering excellent customer service. This will help you build a loyal customer base.
Following these tactics will ensure that you stand out in the market, stay above your competition, and grow on your own terms.
