A panel on Monday on emerging technologies and how they will influence #cybersecurity at the Organización de los Estados Americanos for the Americas regional group of the Global Forum on Cyber Expertise (GFCE) covered everything from regional cyber-skills capacity building to #AI and #quantum #technology evolution. Expert moderation by Kerry-Ann Barrett led to insights from panelists Cesar Parga, Alex Oppong and Anitha Ibrahim. One of the great challenges with both cyber and emerging technologies is framing these subjects so they don't alienate people. Cyber isn't just for technical specialists and emerging technologies are going to change our lives no matter where we sit on the technical skills spectrum. 20+ years of teaching #digitalskills across a wide range of subjects gives me (I hope!) the communication skills to demystify this material. Exciting Day at #CyberUK24! Today, we had the honour of hosting MP Stephen McPartland at our stand. A highlight was the powerful call to action from NCSC's Ollie Whitehouse and Minister Bhatti MP. Minister Bhatti emphasized the necessity of Software Supply Chain Resilience and Safe AI, with threats growing by roughly 14% each year, often exploiting vulnerabilities in software supply chains.
