Those of us in reporting have all heard this. That using Workiva means paring back creative ambition. Some great insights here why such thinking may be holding you back. And how to get the best of both - collaboration and efficiency AND creativity - from your reporting projects.
Ever heard the claim that using Workiva means sacrificing creativity? Think again! Our Reporting Director, Dean Radley, explores how to sidestep scepticism and achieve creative leadership in reporting with Workiva. https://lnkd.in/dZGTcRmj

It’s a win-win-win situation for businesses, customers & society when organizations adopt inclusive design principles, according to #UHBauer research recently published in MIT Sloan Management Review. #UHBauer Associate Dean of Research Vanessa Patrick and Jeff Schulman, Ph.D. of the UW Foster School of Business highlight how business leaders can nurture change, achieve organizational goals and benefit the bottom line by empowering product designers, marketers, HR teams and other employees to consider the needs of a larger group of customers. The right question can be more powerful than any answer. "How might we?" is a game-changer, especially for arts and culture organizations. It reframes problems into actionable opportunities, fostering creativity and collaboration. For example, instead of asking, “How can we cut costs?” consider reframing it as, “How might we optimize our resources to support our mission better?” via The Global Leaders Institute #Innovation #Consulting #DesignThinking #ArtsandCulture #Strategy

Innovation is a team sport according to David Kelley, founder of IDEO. Leaders must actively cultivate an environment where new ideas are encouraged, experimentation is valued, and employees feel empowered to contribute. A culture conducive to innovation is not only good for business. It also is something that both leaders and employees value in their organizations. #design #value #collaboration #employees

At our upcoming STRAT Europe conference, we're taking a different approach. Rather than featuring LinkedIn-famous speakers, we're showcasing European leaders in AI and product design strategy. Why? Because strategy is highly context-dependent. What works in the USA is very unlikely to work where all the inner moving pieces are different. Our program will focus on Europe's unique resource constraints, organizational structures, and leadership approaches. We're seeking leaders who are actually doing the hard work of transforming product design from UI to UX Strategy in European organizations. It's a grind, and it takes special ingredients, which is what we are striving to discover together. If you're interested in submitting a product design strategy or innovation case study or workshop, there's still time before our 2024 program for STRAT Europe is finalized. Submit your proposal here: https://lnkd.in/eQpFqeG3 Join us in Amsterdam this June for a program that is tailored to the needs of European leaders in AI and product design strategy. Learn from those who are on the front lines of transforming the industry, and they're doing it in Europe. Register now: https://lnkd.in/ewcGBnve

💥Big changes start small, and they start with people- then why don't we design our change movements with people at the center? I'm excited to lead this run of IDEO U's Designing for Change course alongside Cate Johnson and a global cohort of learners from various industries, institutions and government agencies to think more of the people in the change. We will learn to create change collaboratively by involving others from the beginning and creating conditions for their buy-in and participation. In these 5 weeks we will look at several actionable frameworks and will experiment early on to generate tangible wins that will build the momentum needed to scale from small shifts to big transformations. If this sounds of interest to you and your organization, we'd love to have you on the course. More details about it here: https://ideo.in/tt_DFC Remember, no matter where you sit within your organization, you have the ability to make change happen. #ideo #designthinking #change
