The end of a busy day 2 at Riskminds International ! Great insight and content shared across a number of sessions. A few key takeaways from me include the areas that keep CROs up at night. These included the macro economic outlook, geopolitical uncertainty, accelerating technology change and diverging regulation. Diverging regulation was also highlighted by a panel on day 1 - specifically highlighting the costs of new regulations (measured in £millions for implementation) and also the number of regulators firms have to engage with. This included 45 regulators for an international firm and 18 for a firm UK focused. Adapting and adoption of new regulation, outlined by one of the panel, including reading up to 7500 pages of documentation. The sentiment was certainly around harmonisation of regulation. The night picture captures the view from the venue of the event to the heart of Canary Wharf and many of the firms we have met today. 📸 A busy day on the #Quantexa stand explaining how customers use the #DecisionIntelligence platform to leverage contextualised data for risk management, compliance monitoring, financial crime detection and customer insights opportunity identification.
