The 2025 ELIV - Electronics in Vehicles congress is in the books! So many interesting discussions and presentations and aside from the goal of obtaining the industry's holy grail of fulfilling the promise of Software Defined Vehicles, the key takeaways for me: 🥡 The anticipated benefits from #GenAI, especially in the areas of cost and time-to-market savings. 🥡 The growing enablement of #SDV through simulation as excellently presented by Jim Tung of MathWorks and, of course TTTech Auto's own CTO, Stefan Poldedna's presentation on not only accelerating software integration of SDV's but doing so safely and on a fundamentally safe system #4SDV. 🙌 Congrats to the VDI Wissensforum GmbH team for putting on such a successful event.

The third day of Logimat has started and I have a first conclusion: The future of mobile robots is with #wirelesscharing!!! There is no doubt to that. The numbers of OEM’s whoe have implemented this technology is impressive. The market understood what benefits this technology offers, and that the additional costs are rapidly overcompensated. For us, Wiferion - industrial wireless charging - a PULS brand , the pioneers of wireless charging in the Mobile Industrial Business, the new question is not “does the technology makes sense or not not”, the next question is “what is the best product for my application”. Today, it’s about offering a market ready product, with the right quality, the right certifications, the right performance and more important than everything else, the right maturity! The last days I have met so many new and old customers who showed me that they have learnt enough about this new technology to make the educated choice themselves. This is a new situation for this very young industry.

Keeping with the theme of machine tooling, the concept of using laser surface scanning to characterize and control cutting tools has been around for decades. When we were studying predictive tool wear, we came across a paper detailing early laser surface characterization from the late 90’s. For us, it is great to see how far cutting tool surface characterization has come. The metrology has advanced as have the data modelling. Now, with AI in the mix, it will be exciting to see how predictive tool wear will look in the next decade. Progress takes many forms, and this one makes us incredibly proud of our journey! Both of these images capture the same drive and enthusiasm for innovation, but the one on the right truly showcases how far we've come in refining our technology. Over the past few years, we've built, tested and iterated our field deployable data collection, aggregation and analysis platform. Using a hardware agnostic approach, our tool connects to sensors and vehicles in the field, captures raw data, and converts it into actionable information for those on the field. We are incredibly thankful to Jack Carr. With his help, we've taken our platform to the next level. As of late 2022, our platform required a full sized trailer. Today, we have a compact, ruggedized, portable platform that can be deployed in minutes. With our new process, the entire toolkit can be built from #COTS systems in the matter of hours.
