Effects of Rumen Protected Amino Acids on Immunity and Fertility Amino acids play a crucial role in various physiological functions, with certain amino acids being more important at specific stages of a cow’s productive life, such as during milk production, fertility, or immune response. In recent years, research has expanded on the functional role of amino acids, particularly in enhancing nitrogen utilization on dairy farms. This webinar will focus on the benefits of using rumen-protected amino acids during the transition period and their impact on cow fertility, immune response, and the development and immunity of future progeny. Free to watch! Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your understanding of this critical aspect of dairy nutrition! https://lnkd.in/gmHuGsTC

Listening to the first presentation at what promises to be another fascinating conference from one of my professional bodies, the Fellowship of Animal Behaviour Clinicians. Dr James Hunt currently speaking on mechanisms which drive and maintain chronic pain. Persistent pain is often associated with signs such as increased sensitivity to a stimulus or touch, and spontaneous pain, presentations such as these indicate the altered processing of painful and non-painful stimuli by the nervous system. An appreciation of the mechanisms responsible for these signs can help to guide the rational treatment of persistent pain. In this session James is reviewing the alterations commonly associated with persistent pain, and identifying potential targets for interventions. Pain perception and its effects on behaviour is still poorly understood so it's great to have this deep dive into the subject to expand our knowledge, all aimed at better assessing and treating the difficulties our animals have in making themselves understood by us in ways that help us to work towards setting them up with good lives.
We are so excited here at the FAB Clinicians HQ - Its conference day!!! Don't worry if you have not booked - all the recordings will be available after the event. https://bit.ly/3ANglDa
