🌍 International Men’s Day: Celebrating and Supporting Men Everywhere A day to celebrate the positive contributions of men in our communities, workplaces, and families but also to reflect on the unique challenges men face, particularly around mental health, wellbeing, and societal expectations. 💬 Let’s Start the Conversation: Men’s mental health often goes unspoken, yet it’s essential to acknowledge the struggles and create safe spaces for open dialogue. Together, we can break down stigmas and encourage men to seek support when they need it. 👥 Promoting Inclusivity and Balance: International Men’s Day is about building an equitable society where everyone thrives. Let’s use today to recognize the importance of allyship, celebrate achievements, and champion the value of men’s contributions across all aspects of life. We were joined by Michael Chapplow from #ANDYSMANCLUB for a colleague networking group today, we heard from colleagues and Michael about tough times and terrible times, but also the support that can be found to create a positive and encouraging environment to be successful and save lives (some organisations added to the comments please add your own suggestions). 💙 #internationalmensday #celebratemen #menshealth #stopmalesuicide #thankamantoday #CelebratingMen #Inclusivity #SupportAndBalance

🌍 Happy International Men's Day! 🌍 Today, we celebrate the men who make a difference in our lives, workplaces, and communities. But it's also a time to reflect on how we can continue to support men in their journey toward mental well-being, personal growth, and meaningful contributions to society. As we mark this day, let's also acknowledge the importance of working with men in ways that empower them to be their best selves — both personally and professionally. Whether it's creating safe spaces for open dialogue, challenging stereotypes, or fostering environments where men can express vulnerability and seek help when needed, our collective efforts are key. In my work with men, I've seen firsthand how mentorship, leadership development, and mental health support can unlock potential and inspire positive change. It's about breaking down the barriers that hold us back and encouraging men to embrace their full range of emotions, ambitions, and identities. Let's continue to support men in building stronger connections with themselves, each other, and the world around them. Together, we can foster healthier, more inclusive workplaces and communities. #InternationalMensDay #MentalHealthMatters #LeadershipDevelopment #BreakingBarriers #MensWellbeing #Empowerment #InclusiveWorkplace #PersonalGrowth

It felt like I was losing a part of my identity.💔 In that period of uncertainty, Kalis Loyd and I found each other and started something simple yet profound—𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. 🙌 We recreated the camaraderie of a team, cheering each other on as we worked toward our individual goals. 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐇𝐄𝐑 is more than a program; it’s a 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚, a place where women support each other through their own personal transformations, just as Kalis and I did.💪 If you’re a female athlete or coach navigating life’s changes, seeking to rediscover your strength with a supportive team by your side, I invite you to join us. Happy International Men's Day! Today, November 19, celebrates the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities. Let's shine a light on inspiring men making a difference! Men's contributions are multifaceted: - Leadership and mentorship - Community service and volunteerism - Emotional support and empathy - Innovation and entrepreneurship However, men face unique challenges, including: - Minority Stress: chronic stress from internalized oppression, discrimination, microaggressions, and lack of representation.] - Mental Health Stigma: negative attitudes and beliefs surrounding mental illness. - Societal Expectations: traditional masculinity, emotional suppression, provider role, and success pressures. Organizations can promote positive change by supporting men's well-being in the workplace. To achieve this, consider implementing supportive policies addressing minority stress, educating leaders and HR professionals on the minority stress framework and raising awareness about discrimination, microaggressions and societal inequalities. You can also incorporat one of my workshops "Taking a Stand: Addressing Minority Stress and Wellness in the Workplace" into training and events can help the men of your organizations. Let's talk about it on zoom: https://lnkd.in/g_tYymJB #InternationalMensDay #PositiveMaleRoleModels #MensWellbeing #WorkplaceWellness

Today is International Men’s Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the contributions and positive role of men in society while also addressing the challenges they face. Unfortunately, this day has often flown under the radar, receiving far less awareness and recognition compared to other significant days of observance. This year, let’s use this day to not only honor men’s achievements but also shine a spotlight on important issues such as mental health, workplace challenges, family roles, and the importance of positive masculinity. Men’s health, in particular, remains a critical area that deserves more attention, with men often underrepresented in discussions around emotional well-being and societal expectations. Let’s all take a moment to reflect, share, and spread the word about International Men’s Day. It’s not about comparison—it’s about inclusivity and creating a world where everyone feels seen and valued. #InternationalMensDay #MenMatter #PositiveMasculinity

🌟 Reflecting on an Empowering Experience 🌟 I recently had the incredible opportunity to host an event focused on "Boundaries in the Workplace," and I must say, it was a transformative experience for me personally. As someone who has always identified as a people pleaser, the concept of setting boundaries has been a challenging one throughout my life. I've often found myself prioritizing others' needs over my own, sometimes at the expense of my well-being. However, this event opened my eyes to the power and necessity of establishing clear boundaries. Throughout the discussions, I learned that boundaries are not barriers but essential tools for creating a respectful and productive work environment. They allow us to protect our time, energy, and mental health while fostering mutual respect and understanding among colleagues. Hearing from inspiring speakers and engaging with participants who shared their own experiences was incredibly empowering. I walked away with a renewed sense of confidence and a commitment to communicate my boundaries more effectively at work. I am grateful to everyone who participated and contributed to this important conversation. Together, we are taking steps towards a workplace culture where everyone feels valued and empowered. A special thank you to Women on the Move and our Allies for supporting this initiative. Let's continue to champion the importance of boundaries and support one another in our journeys. #Boundaries #WorkplaceWellness #WomenOnTheMove #Empowerment #PersonalGrowth
