🚕 Yandex 𝗚𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗧ü𝗿𝗸𝘆𝗶𝗲! I only shared the news about the Search. Then I got away for a moment, and we are already launching a TAXI in the country!! The team never sleeps, honestly 🤯😂 Our service is now being tested in Antalya, currently available in Muratpaşa, Kepez, Konyaaltı, Döşemealtı, and Aksu districts. And we plan to expand in the future! With Yandex Go, you can start your journey from your current location or any chosen point. The app shows an estimated fare based on traffic before the trip begins, and you can pay by cash or card at the end of the ride. What makes Yandex Go special for me is its super quality: → Riders can rate each trip, and drivers with low ratings may have their access restricted. → The app uses advanced technologies to save time and avoid traffic jams. → Passengers get an affordable, predictable, and pleasant experience in the end :) All in all, transportation will become easier and more convenient. Sounds like a dream, right! #Yandex #YandexGo #MobilityInnovation #SmartCities

Yandex has launched scooter rentals in Tashkent! I've long wanted to write about them, and this news is a perfect opportunity as I am a huge fan of the UX/UI of their products. I also appreciate how they gradually launch their products, carefully preparing the ground for them: 1. With the launch of Yandex.Maps, Yandex.Taxi soon followed. 2. Then they introduced parcel delivery within the taxi service. 3. After exploring the delivery market, they launched it for online stores (B2B, providing delivery service to those like Korzinka Go, Baraka market, Humans Yaxshi and etc.), and later, Yandex.Eats. 3.a. Following their experience with merchants above, Yandex.Lavka is likely to appear soon. Given this company’s timeline and the upcoming opening of a full-fledged office in Tashkent, I expect the launch of the following major products in the next 3-4 years: 1. Yandex.Lavka 2. Yandex.Market 3. Yandex.Split (BNPL) P. S. Shared the product launch chronology below Yandex #ecommerce #yandex #uzbekistan

Own hyperlocal maps are essential and represent a strategic asset for ride-hailing and food delivery. “Grab is not the only company building its own maps. In China, Alibaba’s Amap and Baidu Maps are widely used — the latter’s clients include Tesla and Huawei. Indian ride-hailing platform Ola recently ditched Google Maps, saying it would instead use its own Ola Maps, built on OpenStreetMap. Meanwhile, ride-hailing company Bolt recently said it would use TomTom’s real-time traffic data to calculate journey times and map the fastest routes.”

Stories like this by Sohini Mitter at The CapTable some times go under the radar because we take for granted the underlying technology what significantly drives some of the fantastic other innovations and services emerging globally. #quickcommerce #transportation #delivery #taxi #ridehailing #rideshare #fooddelivery #ecommerce rely on very hard-working delivery partners who in turn need directions and support to help them work most effectively. #maps in India are crucial. If any one has spent any time time in India, they would know that getting around and finding accurate directions can some times be a big task. It can be time consuming. Even with digital maps, there are new roads, new layouts, new localities, road-name changes, diversions, road infrastructure hazards to tackle. Mapping is not just #software based. It requires covering thousands and millions of miles (or kilometers if you prefer) of road with significant camera and media technology and fact-checking and internet/processing speed. It's not cheap and it's a major industry even if we only know one of one or two players publicly. I highly recommend reading this article as it's very informative and reveals a lot of about the good-guts of services we consume mostly for "free." Comments and opinions? When you want to market your services, you don't just market it at one place. SPREAD ACROSS Just like Uber. In the UK, Uber was now available for people to book TRAINS. Wondering what Uber did to market their services so every single person knows? They ran an ad on the train track reading boards, with a clear message "UBERXXXXXXXLLL" On billboards - "Split your ride with 200 people. Trains - now on Uber" They used quintessential Uber Lingo but with a train twist With different messages On different billboards, for example "Please meet your driver on Platform 7 Trains- now on Uber" Lessons to include: 1. When you have a service to sell- spread your message everywhere possible on earth. 2. Write your message clearly and mix quirky style to make it memorable. 3. Don't plan to sell your services directly without making people aware first. #Marketing #Uber #Awareness #SEO

Ola During my last ride, I chose to use Ola Cab service, & this is the actual route distance that your app & Google maps suggests (of 25 kms max). But the driver chose to drive through his own different route which was 44 kms long (which obviously I hadn't recommended to), resulting in much higher fare collected from Ola & driver. Despite, knowing the straight, short & known route that was clearly visible on all the maps. Actual cost displayed on Ola Portal was Rs. 324. But the ride resulted in much higher fare, & ended up in Rs. 542, which the driver insisted on paying since, it was showing on the driver's registered app only. Ride Ref. No.: CRN8836228587 Shared route From (23.0158027,72.4669853) to Harshad Colony Society, 2JWQ+H22, Bapunagar, Harshad Colony, Mahavir Nagar, Hirawadi, India Colony, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 382345 via Naroda Rd. 55 min (25 km) 55 min in current traffic

Google Maps' new patent reveals Multi-Car navigation for group travel Tech giant Google is reportedly poised to revolutionize group travel with a new feature for Google Maps, according to a recent patent application. This functionality, aimed at users traveling in multiple cars, could transform how people navigate to shared destinations. As one of the most popular navigation apps globally, Google Maps continues to innovate, helping solo travelers with precise, step-by-step directions. However, the new development indicates a shift towards enhancing the experience for groups as well. https://lnkd.in/gkjc_4SB #googlemaps #patent #reveals #multicar #navigation #grouptravel #techgiant #google #revolution #navigate #group #travel #solotravelers #travel #traveling #traveladvisor #travelindustry #travelagent TraveLICE TraveLICE Customercare
