💡 Techno and WeLight Iluminação illuminate the Stone Garden during #MilanDesignWeek. In the field of architectural and decorative lighting, the use of electrical connectors with a high degree of #IPprotection is essential to guarantee safety and continuity of performance for installations that, in most cases, are exposed to the elements. The combination of these factors led WeLight of São Paulo, Brazil, to choose Techno as its partner for the development of architectural lighting projects in outdoor areas. The company, led by Jayme Liande, is a landmark in the country, thanks to more than 1,650 projects realised in 24 years of activity. The latest case study is the Stone Garden, a project designed by architect Vivian Coser for Centrorochas, ApexBrasil and It's Natural, exhibited at the “Fuorisalone” in Milan, as part of the Cross Vision exhibition-event organised by Interni in the court of honour of the University of Milan from 15 to 28 April 2024. The main technical requirement was to ensure the visibility and visual impact of the work, which was illuminated by downlights. This is why WeLight enlisted Techno's support. The spotlights were connected directly to the control box via TH391 mini-joint connectors. VIDEO 🎥 Under the Stars in Samarkand… with a little touch of Kubrick One evening, beneath a star-studded sky in the majestic Registan Square of Samarkand, we orchestrated a series of shots, preparing for a very exclusive experience for one of our very special client. We instructed our drone pilot to sweep gracefully above, capturing the perfect symmetry of the madrasahs from every possible angle, revealing the mosaics as they glimmer softly in the moonlight, and tracing the shadows as they dance upon the domes. Each shot was carefully planned to create a silent conversation between history and the present, an attempt to distill the magic of this extraordinary place. For this visual symphony, I chose Strauss’s “The Blue Danube”—a nod and an homage to Kubrick’s cinematic mastery. “2001: A Space Odyssey” is such an elegant film, a masterpiece that speaks of humanity and exploration across time and ages. The music flows seamlessly with the architecture here, adding a touch of timeless elegance to the scenes. Yes, I’m there, right in the middle of it all, but under #Samarkand’s starry sky, one feels almost eclipsed by the grandeur of the place. And perhaps that’s what true luxury is—a feeling of wonder and intimacy, all at once. At STEP'IN, we craft these moments for those who seek more than just a destination.
