Together we need to be taking the necessary steps to remove digital exclusion for good and build a movement for digital inclusion to ensure that no one is left behind. Our new grants programme the #VolunteerandConnect fund is supporting schools with their digital needs from WIFI costs through to digital kit. Colleagues from Virgin Money are able to apply for grants of up to £2,000 to support their local school. #BigChangesStartLocally #VolunteerandConnect
Celebrating National Volunteers Week! This week, we'd like to shine a spotlight on our incredible Virgin Money colleagues who volunteer their time to help make a difference across their local communities. To date, 50 of our colleague volunteers have applied for a grant through the Volunteer and Connect Fund to help schools bridge the digital divide. Our colleagues have told us that this funding will have an impact on over 7,500 children from across the UK. Thank you for helping to bridge the digital divide and empowering young minds! #NationalVolunteersWeek #DigitalInclusion #VolunteerandConnect

👏Congratulations to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago for a successful event and to Nicolas Michuda and Sydney for conquering the challenge! Let's get to work....all the way to the top! 💡 Here are some fun facts regarding stairs for architects and contractors: ➡ The Roman architect Vitruvius established the first guidelines for the stair in the first century B.C, suggesting a 37-degree pitch. Most stairs are not dramatically different today. ➡ The 19th century is regarded by many as the golden era of stair construction. In the 20th century architects gave prominence to lifts. Now, with the emergence of ‘active design’, architects are once again making stairs more prominent. #climbhigher
Scaling heights for a heartwarming cause! Our Project Manager, Nicolas Michuda, and his fiancé, Sydney, conquered 80 floors at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago Aon Step Up for Kids event! Their climb supports young patients and their families at Lurie’s Children’s with proceeds benefiting K.I.D.S.S. for Kids, Inc. Together, we’re making a difference, one step at a time!

Fall training is around the corner. And for Texas-based me, I sure hope cooler temps too #SoHotRightNow But, before I slide off my keyboard, I wanted to share that I'm partnering with CharityHowTo for a two day workshop in September! The focus? Going from awareness to action when it comes to incorporating equity into your programming or training. Oh yes, it's going to be amazing! Why does this matter, now? - Because training and programming are the beating hearts of nonprofit organizations. - By incorporating equity, you will boost your program’s effectiveness and relevance. - Equity is all about meeting the specific needs of the people you are serving. - This leads to better outcomes and a higher impact. And when you can guarantee these two things, funders pay attention *** With these kinds of skills, think how how much will be off your plate and put your mind at ease. And I can't forget a discount code, I'll put it and the link to the workshop, in the comments!

*New Blog Post!* Our upbringing plays a crucial role in shaping who we become as parents. You are a product of who raised you, how you were raised, where you were raised, and what the person who raised you knew. In essence, if someone else had raised you, you would have been a different person. One of the key points to note about raising anybody is that you are formed by what you see. The things you believe are a result of your programming, even if those beliefs are not based on principles. Parenting is programming. Thus, what your children become will be a result of the programming you give them. Continue reading here: https://lnkd.in/eViDdrUi ©️ The Intentional Parent Academy ™️
