This post captured the essence of the new approach to design, where simulation and design are definitively merging into a single process. The key shift is that design is now being driven by an upfront understanding of the physics and desired outcomes, rather than drafting designs first. Vast simulation data sets are being fed into algorithms that can optimize the design by operating on the entire data landscape, far beyond just extracting "key features" as was done previously. Platforms like ToffeeX represents this profound paradigm shift in engineering design. Human engineers no longer need to manually incorporate simulation insights in a linear way. Instead, the AI can co-create designs in lockstep with the physics being simulated.
