🌟 Embracing Change: My Journey from Academia to AI Enthusiast 🌟 After 16+ years of dedicated teaching in engineering, where I thrived on perfection and precision, life took an unexpected turn. The pandemic presented challenges that led me to step back from my career, leaving me feeling lost and uncertain for two years, I found myself at a crossroads, unsure of my next move. But in that period of reflection, I found a new path. I pursued a PG diploma in scientific yoga, meditation and Holistic Health, which completely transformed my outlook on life and well-being. This journey reignited my passion for learning and self-improvement. Now, I'm channeling that same passion for growth into a new direction. I've discovered an enthusiasm for AI, AI Tools, coding, and developing essential soft skills. Every day, I'm learning and upskilling, preparing to launch an exciting new chapter in my career. The journey has just begun, and I'm ready to make my mark once again! My journey has taught me that it's never too late to reinvent yourself. I'm eager to showcase my evolving skillset and prove that a background in education, combined with a dedication to personal growth, can lead to exciting new opportunities. In the past, I learned that in order to remain competitive and foster growth, one must continuously challenge themselves and step outside their comfort zone, even amidst a busy schedule where time may seem scarce. While Generative AI surrounds us, there's often a tendency to stick to traditional methods. I first recognized this during my initial year of army service when my basic DOS program for documents creation was replaced with a Mac. Despite the Mac's capability to generate comprehensive graphical documents, it frequently crashed. So, for several more months, I reverted to using the DOS program to prepare my documents till my commander remove it from my desktop and didn't have other choice to use new generation software. Today, I find myself grappling with a similar dilemma regarding GenAI. Can it be trusted more than established procedures honed over years of experience? These methods, while proven, still necessitate human involvement at every step. Stepping out of my comfort zone became imperative, leading me to commit to participating in first Amdocs GenAI Hackathon. To judge effectively, I felt obligated to be more knowledgeable than the participants. Thus, I invested time in expanding my understanding of Generative AI basics, rules and best practices. I also had to meticulously plan for the tight timelines allotted for evaluating numerous projects, which turned out to be unexpectedly filled with very interesting ideas. And of course, to resolve with myself dilemma what projects gets higher criteria achievement. In the end, the experience proved rewarding. We witnessed the creation of interesting projects within remarkably short timeframes. I'm confident that some of these projects will serve as the foundation for larger, more successful endeavors. We passionately believed that technology should enhance human well-being while upholding ethical standards. Our innovative solution, "HealthAssist", is designed to empower personalized healthcare, ensuring that every individual receives tailored medical support based on their unique needs 🏥 💁♂️ It was an incredible experience to collaborate with talented individuals, exchange innovative ideas, and push the boundaries of creativity and problem-solving. From July 17, 2024 to August 14, 2024, I had the opportunity to actively participate in this enriching journey, and I'm proud of the learning and growth that came with it. 🔍 Collaboration and creativity were at the heart of our project.
