One of the most frequent questions I receive during Patka Box™️ training is, 'Why do some children wear a Patka, and others don't?' This is a question that comes from a place of curiosity and care, and my response is always filled with respect for every family’s unique journey. The decision to wear a Patka isn’t universal for all children – it is shaped by family traditions, cultural values, and personal choices. Some families may introduce the Patka early in a child’s life, while others may leave the decision to the child as they grow older. What’s important to remember is that there is no right or wrong approach. There is no judgment here – only understanding. In the Sikh faith, we place significance on keeping our hair neat and cared for. For some, this means tying it up in a Patka, while others may prefer a top knot secured with a simple cloth called a rumaal. Both are beautiful expressions of faith, devotion, and identity. Ultimately, what matters most is that we support one another with respect and compassion. Each child and family navigates this journey in their own way, and it’s important to create a space where every decision is honoured and embraced. Whether it’s a Patka, a rumaal, or a top knot, the value lies in the love and respect we carry for ourselves and each other. Today we celebrate Children's day a day dedicated to children in memory of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru's birthday. He compared children to buds in a garden. What a beautiful analogy. When we see a bud , what do we feel? A bud inspires hope, represents potential and innocence and unmitigated joy. A bud makes us happy and sparks positive thoughts with it's beauty and also creates a sense of wonder about its completeness. As an educator, can we awaken our senses to always search for this beauty, innocence and grace in our children and discover their charm? As educators, let us everyday vow to find the perfection in our children and nurture their potential. Let us remind ourselves that celebrating Children's Day is not about having a joyful celebration through songs, games or plays. But it is a continuous journey of nurturing our children through accelerating their curiousity, making learning student centered and fun. Find joy in their questions, wayward observations and creative antics. Let us nourish their souls to be natural, curious and original. Let the 40 minutes in each class matter and be dedicated to celebrating our children and their potential and not merely a class to teach, complete a chapter or perform an activity.

Bedtime stories are more than just a nighttime ritual—they're a special opportunity for bonding, learning, and dreaming together. One timeless tale that stands out is "Langgam at si Tipaklong". Here's why: 1. Planning for the Future: The ant, Langgam, works hard to store food for the rainy season, while the grasshopper, Tipaklong, plays. This shows children the importance of preparing for the future. 2. Sense of Responsibility: Langgam's dedication to the colony contrasts with Tipaklong’s carelessness, highlighting the importance of being responsible. 3. Appreciation of Hard Work: Langgam’s efforts ensure survival during the rainy season, while Tipaklong struggles, teaching the value of hard work and perseverance. This bedtime story entertains while teaching valuable lessons on planning, responsibility, and hard work, helping prepare children for a thoughtful and successful future. #sisonsoflife #BedtimeStories #ParentingTips #EarlyChildhoodEducation #LifeLessons #FamilyBonding #LanggamAtSiTipaklong #ResponsibilityMatters #FutureLeaders #LearningThroughStories

TAKE YOUR #CHILDREN TO A PLACE THEY WILL LEARN WHILE HAVING #FUN. You must not take them to a place where you spend more than you've budgeted.. You can take them to a fish pond, where they rear animals... You'd spend nothing You can take them to see the beauty of nature. You can teach them what they don't know before.. You can visit stadiums(no gate fee is required) You can take them to festival malls if you reside in Amuwo Odofin or its environs(no kobo is required). You can take them to supermarkets so they know how it looks like. You can take them to car parks to see different kinds of cars. The main gist here is to take them to a new place.. Take them out from their comfort zone One thing you should know is, it helps them mentally, intellectually, psychologically and academically It builds their confidence and sharpens their knowledge on specific things and general knowledge. We all want our little ones to be geniuses We all have to start somewhere no matter how small We have to be intentional in raising our future(your children are your future). Cheers. -Tricia Nwosu Ikeora #tricianwosu #ateacher #teachingexpert #careerparents #moms #dads #intentionalparents #intentionalparenting

Posing for some positive boost with this super energetic kid. Thank you shwetangi khutal for bringing in Samar today. Kids can make us learn a lot even if it is a office day. He also taught us some cool and valuable lessons today, such as: 1. Creativity: Children often have unbridled imaginations and can inspire us to think outside the box. 2. Curiosity: Kids are naturally curious, reminding us to stay curious about the world around us and never stop learning. 3. Resilience: Children bounce back quickly from setbacks, showing us the importance of resilience and perseverance. 4. Living in the moment: Kids are experts at living in the present moment, teaching us to appreciate the little things and find joy in everyday experiences. 5. Authenticity: Children are genuine and unapologetically themselves, reminding us to embrace our true selves and live authentically. 6. Patience: Dealing with children requires patience, teaching us to slow down, be more patient, and practice empathy. 7. Wonder: Kids find wonder in the simplest of things, helping us rediscover the magic and beauty in the world around us. #happymoments #friendsatwork
