Call out to English teachers!!! Are you an #English #teacher? This post is for you! You teach English. You have many-many students in different groups. With some of them you choose X methods and methodologies. You choose Y methods and methodologies with others. Do you think there are universal methods that work in all classrooms? I think Task based approach sometimes could be a good option as far as you know the classroom preferences, interests and needs. You know your students' needs you know what task to assign, thus you can use the approach with all your students. Do you agree this approach is "universal"? #Write a comment and become a part of #international teachers' discussion.

In today's Teachers Only Live-Stream with @CathleenElise, we're talking about 3 main areas involved in the global focus of hiring only native-English-speaking English teachers, as well as constructive ways we can turn this obsession around so that all teachers of English are hired for no other reason than their skill and qualifications. Well, we'll spend 30 minutes or so walking through the ins-and-outs of these issues and obstacles (and some ways to address them productively) while also helping you to create a plan that works for you in your life as it is right now. By the time you leave, you'll be able to start working on taking the necessary steps to create solutions in your life right now. We'll also talk about two great resources I have come across that focus specifically on bringing about positive change in the world of teaching English as a foreign or second language. Join me today (and every Thursday) at 1:00 pm Eastern Time, LIVE. The link is in the comments.
