A new survey from TechTarget’s Enterprise Strategy Group found that a whopping 85% of developers are or are planning to use GenAI for application development. In addition, when asked about the top challenges for AppSec teams supporting cloud-native dev processes, the top response was “understanding and managing risk related to use of GenAI.” This response align with what we hear in conversations with security teams across industries. Although it gives developers an easier way to produce code at scale, GenAI causes problems for security teams trying to figure out where and how it’s being used.
