We love to talk about clinical impact and patient outcome. Today, let me introduce you to a clinical area where #photoncounting CT, provides neither - because the patient (or rather the subject) is already dead: Forensic medicine. Dominic Gascho from the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the University of Zurich, Switzerland just published a paper investigating what benefits #photoncounting CT can offer for forensic studies. In a field, where dose efficiency and contrast media usage have no relevance it comes down to pure image quality. https://lnkd.in/d3VWch-G

Researchers from the Cleveland Clinic have published an independent study with evidence that supports the practical application of brain4care technology as a non-invasive method for estimating intracranial compliance at bedside. The article analyzed the agreement of non invasive techniques as quantitative indicators of intracranial compliance for clinical application. The parameters obtained with brain4care technology showed a strong correlation with invasive techniques, opening new possibilities for safer and less invasive approaches. 👉 Read the full publication: https://lnkd.in/dqzjKDiw

Scientific studies increasingly support the quadriceps tendon as a valid option for ACL reconstruction. We evaluated the scientific literature on how the quadriceps tendon as a graft choice compares to bone-tendon-bone (BTB) in terms of clinical outcomes. Patient-reported outcome measures and re-rupture rates are similar between grafts, whereas donor site morbidity is better when using a quadriceps autograft.
