We don’t want to brag (okay, maybe a little), but we’re proud of Steph Aaron-Obelley for receiving yet ANOTHER glowing review: ✨ “Diversifying Group approached me for a Trustee role. The preparation and support throughout the whole process from selection to appointment was personal and met expectations of going over and above. Special shoutout to Steph. Highly recommend.” Helping candidates feel this supported is what we’re about – and it’s also why we’re good at connecting employers with brilliant, diverse talent. And Steph’s not the only one – the whole team has been earning some fantastic feedback! See below for some of the kind words people have shared about them. 🤩 If you’re looking for a recruitment partner who really gets it, we’d love to chat. 💬 #Recruitment #5StarReview #DiversityAndInclusion #DiverseTalent #InclusiveRecruitment #ExecSearch

As an employer, the best way to showcase your company culture and values to prospective candidates is not through your words, but your actions. You can promise a transparent, inclusive, respectful, collaborative (etc.) environment all day long, but if what you’re saying isn’t matching what you’re doing, then it's empty talk... and quite frankly a bunch of <insert curse word here>. You can’t put much past #jobseekers these days… they can spot a phony from miles away. So just stop the nonsense and be real. ✌️ #companyculture #bestadvice #recruiting #hiringandpromotion

I saw a post today about application feedback that really resonated with me. As a recruiter, I engage with numerous individuals daily, submitting applications on their behalf. It's incredible how many entrust us with their careers 🙏 Occasionally, we face delays in feedback from clients, particularly on applications they don’t wish to advance. With the fast-paced nature of my work, I sometimes overlook getting back to people on the unsuccessful applications. Closure matters and we can/will do better. A special shout out to all those who rely on us; we strive to improve every day and will be working on strategies to make sure all who engage with us, receive the feedback they deserve. 🌟 2025: A Year for Accountability and Respect in Hiring 🌟 As we step into 2025, let’s take a moment to reflect on a challenge that continues to frustrate job seekers: employer ghosting. The hiring process should be a two-way street, built on transparency, respect, and communication. Yet, too often, candidates invest time and effort into applications, interviews, and follow-ups, only to be met with silence. This isn’t just unprofessional—it’s demoralizing. Let’s wish for better accountability from employers this year. A simple rejection email or an update takes seconds but can make all the difference to someone eager to grow their career. To all the job seekers out there: Keep advocating for your worth. To the employers and hiring teams: Let’s do better. Respect is the bare minimum we can offer in building a healthier and more equitable workforce. Here’s to 2025—a year of progress, professionalism, and mutual respect. Let’s make it happen! #Accountability #HiringEthics #DoBetter #2025Goals

Rhyleys Rant ❤️ Stop complaining about your staff being headhunted. Just pout and peace, baby 🤣 Instead, ensure your culture is so f**cking good that they won't want to leave. Our Recruiters are constantly asked by clients if they would jump ship and work for them which I take as a compliment and it demonstrates that we are on the right track. I don't feel threatened by this at all and neither should you. If your culture is amazing and you have solid relationships with your team then you have nothing to fear. And... Even if they do leave, let them! Take the lessons on board, congratulate them, wish them all the best and move forward. This way, there's more of a chance they will come back. If your staff are being poached, don't look outwards, turn your attention inwards. #culture #business #recruitment #hiring

Wow, what a brilliant response to our recent poll! ⚙🛠⚙ It's always exciting to see how engaged our community is, and it turns out, we've got quite the divisive topic on our hands. We often get asked to find candidates for multi-skilled roles, but with one big stipulation: they MUST have an 18th Edition, no ifs, buts, or maybes. But here’s the catch: why eliminate 52% of your already small candidate pool right from the start? 🤔 What did this poll teach me? Being a bit more open-minded could make hiring a whole lot easier. 📈💡 So, perhaps it’s time to rethink those strict requirements and consider the wider talent out there.

Part 3: Empathy, patience, and collaboration are key to re-imagining the hiring process. We should be working with candidates to identify roles that align with their skills and interests—not just filling vacancies. A supportive and non-judgmental environment allows them to showcase their true potential, even if they’ve faced setbacks in the past. Let’s focus on helping candidates succeed, not just evaluating against rigid criteria. #HiringWithEmpathy #StaffingAgencies #TalentAcquisition #JobMatching #Support

Was on the train this morning and overheard a conversation with what turned out to be a recruiter speaking to her boss about the day ahead. I heard phrases like, ‘he’s brilliant and he’s (insert age here), ‘well we never turn anyone down from that school’ and ‘I can remember the conversations I had, I’ll send you a shortlist.’ Appreciating I was only on one side of the conversation, it sounded like this person was falling foul to all the rookie mistakes of how not to hire! All of what I heard points to bias in a recruitment process, such as associating age with any sort of competence, the confirmation bias when hiring from certain schools, and relying on memory over scoresheets with notes. Inclusive workplaces need to be able to spot where they are leaning on biases instead of robust inclusive recruitment approaches. It’s just the first step in getting DEI right in the workplace.
