Businesses exists to serve CUSTOMERS. Its from the Customer that every other Stakeholder derives their Value. Its thus paramount that everyone must be aligned to serving the customer. You must be able to paint a path that connects WHAT you do to the delivery of service to the Customer. There should be no one whose efforts are not having an impact on serving the customer. So its either you are serving the customers directly; or you are supporting those whose role is to serve the customers directly...Working end to end as a well oiled machine. Ultimately, Customer Excellence is everyone's role. It doesn't belong to some departments. If you aren't working for or towards Customer Excellence, then you are dragging everyone else back!
