While I was going through email today, I thought it might be helpful to our networks, to offer a link to how some of us, manually check emails that appear to come from legitimate sources. This link is a guide on checking email header information at the forensic level, there will be quite a bit of Jargon, but essentially an easy way is look at the "Return-Path:" It should have the same domain at the end of the return email address. Directly above that you should see the DKIM and SPF notes, those help if you see your domain ~matches. The quickest way to delist (stop blocking) a sender is to make them a safe sender on your own PPS instance. But you can also request that we stop blocking the IP globally. Following the steps included in this public Proofpoint Support Community article, you will create a Policy Route that disables processing for the desired IP address.
