With the largely non-violent pro-Hamas demonstrators in the U.S. basically failing to achieve their objectives to shift the U.S. Government's policy away from supporting Israel (although it is being relatively even-handed) - will a tiny minority decide to escalate their protest activism into violence, for instance, by attacking U.S. defense companies that provide military equipment to Israel? Interesting public safety issues to consider.
This short (620 word) blog post is the one I should not post, because I should not share a story of such evil by a few Israeli soldiers, and some Israeli politicians and demonstrators. Update on HB 2342 which would prohibit the concealed carrying of weapons such as switchblades, butterfly knives, and electric guns which are often used in self-defense. This bill has been referred to Public Safety and Intergovernmental and Military Affairs (PSM) and Judiciary (JDC) committees.
