Welcoming working conditions in Saudi Arabia are attracting an increasing number of job-seeking Indian women, the country's human resources and social development ministry has said.   As per the official figures of 2024, over 2.4 million Indian workers live in Saudi Arabia, with 1.64 million employed in the private sector and 785,000 in domestic work. While Indians form the second-largest expatriate community in Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh has the highest number of expat workers at 2.69 million.   A spokesperson in the ministry said Indian workers, including women, play a vital role in Saudi Arabia's labour market, comprising a substantial portion of the expatriate workforce.   "Comprehensive reforms, expanded workplace support, and investments in skills development create welcoming conditions for women from diverse backgrounds," the spokesperson said. ‏LMRA and IOM Collaborate on “Working Together” Initiative to Enhance Awareness of Work Parties’ Rights and Responsibilities . . ‏The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) are proud to announce the upcoming launch of their collaborative initiative titled "Working Together", aiming to enhance awareness of the rights and responsibilities of both employers and employees, thereby promoting justice, equity, and stability in the workplace. ‏The initiative is part of the Kingdom of Bahrain's ongoing commitment to sustaining an organized labour market that safeguards the rights of all parties involved. HR news update: According to the latest figures, Indians make up 25% of the overall workforce in Kuwait, with 535,083 workers as of December 2021. Egyptians came in second with 476,866 workers, followed by Kuwaitis with 454,038 workers. Other nationalities also saw an increase in numbers, including Bangladeshis and Pakistani workers. Nepalese nationals showed the highest percentage increase, reaching 803,313 workers, a 27% rise compared to 2020. Despite this, Kuwait continues to aim for its "Kuwaitisation" policy, replacing foreign workers with its citizens. #HRnews #Kuwait #workforce

Doha, September 01 (QNA) - The Ministry of Labour has spotlighted Law No. (12) of 2024, pertaining to the nationalization of jobs in the private sector, which was recently promulgated by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. This legislation aligns with #Qatar National Vision 2030, particularly within the pillar of human development, by facilitating strategic investments and creating opportunities for employment and training for Qatari citizens. It also supports the Third National Development Strategy, which aims to effect a fundamental transformation towards a more productive labour market, focusing on high-skill jobs. This transformation will be achieved by leveraging a highly skilled Qatari talent pool while also attracting foreign talents with advanced skills. The law seeks to significantly increase the effective participation of the national workforce in #privatesector institutions and companies, opening up new employment and career opportunities for #Qataris and the children of Qatari women, thereby maximizing the utilization of qualified national competencies.
