What is truely wild is this has generated a watch time of 150 days and 20 hours—that's over 4 months of people glued this activation! And what’s been EVEN better than the numbers (!!) has been the conversations that have surrounded this campaign. The goal for this brand activation was to: • Make pet food feel more playful and fun • Get people TALKING — online and offline • Prove that pet food can be disruptive, exciting and fun too! I had this slightly humbling moment last night. Going through my old campaign decks from a large baby brand I worked on, something felt off. The content was technically perfect. Optimized headlines. Proven frameworks. Tested CTAs. But it felt hollow. Then it hit me. I'd done exactly what I tell my clients not to do. I'd buried my actual insights under "best practices." The irony? My most successful campaign ever (the 3am Club) worked precisely because we broke the rules. We stopped trying to sound like every other baby brand and started talking like actual parents up at 3am. That's when I realized what was missing: a Strategic Anchor. That core truth that comes from your experience, not a template. For us, it was understanding that parents don't need another perfect brand - they need a partner who gets the messy reality of 3am feedings. I see this pattern everywhere now. We get so caught up in "optimization" that we forget what makes our expertise valuable. Like when I worked NexGard - we didn't win by having the most optimized pet care messaging.
