🍷 Exploring Strategic Opportunities: Day 2 at Vinitaly Day two at Vinitaly has been a whirlwind of strategic networking and deepening industry relationships. Here’s a snapshot of our key activities today: 1-Strategic Discussions with Partners: We've engaged in meaningful discussions with the companies we represent to understand the latest market trends and strategize for the year ahead. These insights are invaluable as they inform our business decisions and help us maintain a competitive edge. 2-Scouting for Innovation: Our team is actively seeking out new and innovative products to enrich our offerings. The focus is on discovering unique wines that can captivate and satisfy the diverse tastes of our markets. 3-Building Bridges with Buyers: A significant part of our day has been dedicated to connecting our network of buyers with our partner wineries. By facilitating these interactions, we aim to foster long-term collaborations that benefit all parties involved. The intensity of the event is matched by the potential it holds. Every interaction here is a stepping stone towards greater achievements in the wine industry.

🇵🇹 In the last few posts, we discovered that Kerstin Houf was travelling in Portugal. Her aim was to push ahead with the planning and discussion of ProWein 2025 and to maintain an intensive dialogue with the winemakers from Portugal. The Portuguese joint stand at this year's ProWein was also a complete success and gave visitors the feeling of being on a trip to Portugal. We are proud that so many countries are so strongly represented at ProWein and that we can therefore guarantee the internationality of the trade fair. 🌍🍇 #cheersprowein #prowein2025 #prowein2024 #winesofportugal #prowein #proweintradefair

Wine Australia supporting AWRI - What a Load of Bulldust Part 2 Martin Cole talks about co-funding to conduct research and wants #AWRI to ‘sing for its supper’ via a competitive tender process for research. In other words, collaborate with commercial entities to conduct important research that will place Australian Wine at the forefront of innovation. Does it sound idiotic? A commercial entity gets first access to innovative research and then uses that information for their own competitive advantage. The Australian wine producer (the Levy payer) and the Australian wine industry becomes a follower not a leader in science and innovation. Is that a waste of our levies? Sure is. Is this something akin to the scandal engulfing Price Waterhouse Cooper? Could be. Should the chair and CEO stand down? Probably. Should Julie Collins step in and fix this? Absolutely. The Australian wine industry success is underpinned by the work conducted at AWRI. Wine Australia’s campaign (via the chair and CEO) to undermine AWRI is damaging our industry. Julie Collins welcome to the Australian wine industry led by an organisation that lacks industry representation on its board and whose chair and CEO are more interested in their own agendas rather than the industry that pays their salary.

Aside from all the main benefits we shout about (speed, ease of use, brand compliance, a vetted cloud printing network - the list goes on!) my favourite part of this article is probably that our technology is: “Replacing slow and inefficient manual systems”. Who doesn’t want tech that makes their job quicker and easier?! 🙌🏻
Big thanks to Scottish Business News for the coverage on our biggest partnership yet with bev alc industry giants Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits 🚀 Have a read in the comments to find out more about Craig Letton’s move to the USA to help grow our team and expand our business across the pond ✈️🌎

Messi Maximization. Football Business Journal and Roger Hampel dropped a great example of Inter Miami CF attracting more new sponsors and unlocking partnership opportunities based on new dynamics within the organization. This time an Argentine winery has entered into an official arrangement with Messi's Inter Miami. New stadiums, new ownership, new coaching staff, new players all have the opportunity to unlock new opportunities for brands to align with sports teams. Ryan Reynolds and Rob McIllhenney have brought their own businesses into Wrexham AFC like Aviation American Gin and also attracted others like United Airlines and Stok Cold Brew. Deion Sanders has enhanced the Nike partnership that was already in place at University of Colorado. An athlete has already spoke to the epic nature of next year's uniforms. Son Heung-min arriving at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club also brought a sponsorship opportunity with Coupang, a delivery service that is Korea's answer to Amazon. A new stadium like the Rams home of SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park has provided many new streams for the teams and the infrastructure itself. Sports Business Classes - - Utilizing competitive advantages to secure business partnerships for teams and athletes is major part of Sports Business. Think about a local sports team or organization. What is their unique, competitive advantage? What sponsors would make natural sense to capitalize on this advantage? Think about your favorite non sports brand. What is unique about it? What would be the best place for them to become a sponsor for an athlete or team? Why? Portuguese company SOGRAPE is expanding its footprint in Spain through the acquisition of Viña Mayor winery from Entrecanales Domecq e Hijos, located in the renowned ‘Golden Mile’ of Ribera del Duero. This strategic move aims to develop a premium project in the region, as outlined in their official statement. Continuing the legacy established by Entrecanales Domecq e Hijos, Sogrape, the largest Portuguese wine company, intends to leverage its robust distribution network to enhance and promote the Viña Mayor brand both within Spain and internationally. As part of the agreement, EDH will retain the Secreto brand, serving as its flagship in Ribera del Duero. The transaction advisory for Entrecanales Domecq e Hijos is provided by Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, with the team led by partner and head of the Bilbao office Estibaliz Aramburu (pictured left) and the of counsel of Public and Regulatory Law and coordinator of the agri-food law group José Luis Palma Fernández (pictured right), as well as Mónica Ojeda Soler, Yago Fernández Darna, and Mónica Matas García. This collaboration signifies a strategic alignment between both companies, poised to create new opportunities and elevate the presence of Viña Mayor in the global wine market. | NEWS TASTYWINES MEETINGS | " Why do I prefer the conviviality of a business convention to a major trade show? " Major international trade shows will always be must-attend events to see everyone 😍 But, seeing everyone is nice but not always very productive. 😅 The business convention is a tailor-made solution for do business 🤩. - My schedule is drawn up in advance. - I know who I'm meeting - I know their profile and volumes. - I know what the importer is looking for - I have his specifications. - I have 30 to 40 minutes face-to-face with him. Efficient timing. - I take advantage of lunches, dinners and cocktail to encourage other exchanges and introduce all importers to my wines. ✔ 70% of producers declare declare signing a deal within 3 months of their participation (we also know that some close the deal during the 3 days 😉 ). So, many participants such as CHATEAU TURCAN, #VignoblesRomain, Les Marmandais ! .... return to meet importers from other countries and/or have their new vintages tasted. BE DARING ! 📆 TastyWines Meetings Americas - April 25 to 27 - Miami. 📆 TastyWines Meetings Asia - November 4 to 6 - Singapore Contact Olivier DARRAS, Denis Tirel, Thom Simon, Vanessa Levi, Patrizia Marazzi, Giovanni Lombardo .
