Packaging Insights sat down with Gilles Swyngedauw, VP of CSR and product sustainability at Albéa Cosmetics & Fragrance: https://lnkd.in/gjHsXJv2 On top of discussing traceability, new regulatory constraints and new material options - such as biomaterials - Gilles Swyngedauw talks about how the beauty packaging industry has evolved over the past decade. He emphasizes on the change of focus importance of collaboration: "At the beauty packaging level, we try to build some knowledge, some understanding and some tools, to be able to drive the future changes we are currently operating. [...] It is quite unique in our the packaging industry, to have a collaborative work with brands, suppliers, to really understand how we can measure our environmental impact, share a common way to measure it. And then we can look at switching materials.[...] We define common rules and tools together to measure circularity and environmental impact - including lifecycle assessment.
