Fundraising pros, I need your insights! During my previous time at a fundraising agency, one tactic we used often was "faux forward" emails—you know, those emails designed to look like a forwarded message, creating a sense of urgency or personal connection to drive donations. But here’s the thing: I’ve noticed that the nonprofits I personally donate to rarely use this approach. Is this still an effective strategy in today’s fundraising space? Are donors responding well to these kinds of emails, or have preferences shifted?
