how many of us have really checked out the services our community partners are offering and how they are truly operating before handing someone off as a referral to another's services to help them better their needs? can we compare and contrast what services we are duplicating then identify the best approach and then re adjust so we can as a team cover all bases. a team can accomplish much more when we work with each other identifying the things we don't cover and how we can find ways to make more happen without the over load and chaotic overwhelmed staff.

Sometimes we miss the obvious aspect of what can help in the level up. We probably all know the phrase: There is no 'I' in team. Right? I would have to counter that statement by sharing this: There is an 'I' and 'U' in community. What has been missed so long in many workspaces and places is the leaning into the Team, where folks within the team loose their voice, vision and power. A place where the I is removed and the unit is emphasized. But what if we shifted Team to Community, and invited in the voices of everyone in it, knowing that the empowerment to be a part of the whole creates the possibility for the impossible. This is turn is the work I love to do, humanize the workspace and create the essence of community and authentic connection and empowerment. As we continue to process the election outcome, I encourage a deeper look into what it means to be a full, conscious human being. Now is a great time for you to ask yourself "Nothing wrong with me. Nothing wrong with you. What is this data telling me?" Being a whole human means doing the work to see beyond ourselves, acknowledging how our choices affect others and whether or not we're speaking up in spaces in a way that creates safety for ALL. In the spaces you occupy, look around and identify the most vulnerable and create safety for them. NOT SAVE THEM. See them, ask them what they need, listen when they tell you, and celebrate the community that you will build now.  It is not too late.

The power of community 💥 If there’s one thing I owe my success and so much of my achievements to, it’s community. I am incredible lucky to not only have a personal and professional community - but I am also someone who is actively in the business of rebuilding and building new community spaces. 📈 Loneliness amongst adults is steadily increasing, with data showing that 1 in 4 people worldwide feel lonely. 🌎 The destruction of community third spaces and places to convene means less places to meet and make new friends. 💻 Stern working policies and lack of flexible work patterns means less energy, productivity and opportunity for connections. The list goes on. We need to intentionally building communities in our workplaces and in our professional spaces. Togetherness and community is such an integral part of ‘inclusion and belonging’ policies. Don’t neglect your community - who’s building you, and who are you building up? #CommunityBuilding
