Here I am sharing some working principle of staircase pressurization system 1. The pressurized fan is normally a standby unit interlocked with motorized louvers installed in the staircase on each floor. 2. The pressurized fan (PF) and motorized dampers (MD) are connected in the Direct Digital Control (DDC) system via the Fire Alarm Control System and Building Management System (BMS). Motorized dampers are normally in the "closed" position. 3. When a fire occurs on a particular floor, the smoke detector enables the energization of the motorized louver damper and pressurized fan, while other motorized dampers on the floor remain "closed". 4. When the pressure exceeds 50 Pascal, the pressure relief damper will open, allowing extra air to move outside to maintain 50 Pascal in the stairs.
