When I first heard about hydrosomes, ultrafine bubbles that stay in solution for extended periods, I thought, "That can't be real." Then I ran into Nick Jackowetz, PhD and the team from Hydrosome Labs at BIO2024 in San Diego. They answered my questions and I invited Nick to come on the podcast and talk about this interesting phenomenon. To give you an idea of scale, imagine a bubble in a glass of champagne. You could fit one trillion hydrosomes inside. At that size, the physical characteristics of a gas bubble are very different, which lend themselves to unique applications from agriculture to #cosmetics, beverages, #fermentation and beyond.
