The Freemasons as an organization are not meant to protect their members from investigation into criminal activities. If Freemasonry is a fraternal organization that emphasizes moral and ethical behavior, personal development, and charitable work. While Freemasons are bound by a sense of brotherhood and mutual support, they are also expected to uphold the law and maintain high ethical standards. so why Ashcroft and Rami Ranger are protecting criminals Sudhir Sharmas from investigation If a member is involved in criminal activities, they are not exempt from legal accountability, and the organization is not supposed to shield them from investigation or prosecution. In fact, many Masonic constitutions emphasize that members must obey the laws of the land. Any attempt to use the organization to evade justice would be a serious violation of Masonic principles.

Tis the season! People often ask me how they can get involved with our community. They want to give back, however they are not sure how to go about it. There are 6,300 registered charities in Nevada. The first step is to determine what is on your heart. Children? Animals? Education, healthcare, seniors? Next, decide how you would like to contribute. The three most common strategies are financial support (writing checks), sitting on a Board of Directors (donating your talents) or volunteering. If you don’t have the financial resources to be a donor, do not fear! Volunteering is not only fulfilling, but also highly valued by charity organizations. Volunteers are the true heroes. Today we review Olive Crest. Olive Crest - Olive Crest is dedicated to preventing child abuse by strengthening, equipping, and restoring children and families in crisis…one life at a time. This is a faith based organization focused on foster children and their families. Never forget Luke 12:48, “To whom much is given…much is required.” https://lnkd.in/gGNZvGpD

Do you know the story of Sam Bighead? In the early 1900s, William P. Morton was a guardian in over 30 cases involving more than 50 minor children. All but one of them were forced to shop at his store, Morton Brothers Company. Even a government official protested this shady business, but the judge did nothing. 5-year-old Sam Bighead, a Muscogee citizen, was one of his minors. Despite having $10k cash and 480 acres of oil-producing land, Morton put him in the Creek Orphan Asylum where he died on May 18, 1910. Sam’s story is on Page 10 of “Our National Problem”, one of hundreds of thousands of pages now unlocked through the Tulsa City-County Library thanks to a donation from VNN Oklahoma. Access the newly licensed database here: https://lnkd.in/gDg8Smyt Who allowed this to happen? It’s complicated. Because while this case is out of Okmulgee, any judge could grant guardianship outside of their jurisdiction during those times, even judges here in Tulsa. And Tulsa’s guardianship records remain “confidential” more than 100 years later. We know for certain; we’ve requested them and were denied. It’s not to protect the wards (clearly). It is to protect the conspirators. Corruption like this still impacts our local Native families. And we’re digging into this buried history to expose it. It’s time Tulsa dug in, too. #JusticeForSam #JusticeForTvlse #Muscogee #Tulsa #history #Native #News #Oklahoma

It is time for my third EJA Fellow Update! This post was initially due during the week of July 8, 2024, however, Hurricane Beryl had other plans as to when I’d be able to complete it. During that week I sat in my home for nearly seven days and six nights without power and in extreme heat. I could not help but feel angry and dejected at the response of our state leaders. Gov. Gregg Abbott and Senator Ted Cruz were both out of the state and doing very little to help the citizens in need. It was also not lost on me how they have had nearly a decade to fix the issues involving our electrical grid but have yet to solve the problem. I then thought about the amazing attorneys who will fight for the affected Texan Citizens in the days, weeks, months, and years to come. Many of the citizens adversely affected by the storm were considered low-income and wouldn’t have the means to properly recover if they ever do. Many legal aid organizations are already vocalizing their disappointment in the way Texas handled the storm and power outage. These organizations and attorneys are boldly going against the Texas government to fight for change and justice in current laws and policies. Future generations cannot continue the fight if they cannot afford to attend law school or have the ability to work and learn at legal aid organizations. That is why it is important to fund the future generations of legal aid attorneys who will continue the fight. #EJAFellowupdate Equal Justice America TSU Thurgood Marshall School of Law ACLU of Texas https://lnkd.in/geeF96KY
